Moira McInally BA, is a Scottish artist based in the picturesque village of Kilmacolm, Inverclyde.

 

She studied at Glasgow School of Art, and continues to develop her artistic skills by drawing and painting daily.

Her work is immediately recognised as classical, colourful and romantic, and regularly paints landscapes inspired by the ever-changing, and breathtakingly beautiful, Scottish countryside. Her figurative work focuses on form, beauty and grace.

Painting only in oils, she uses centuries- old techniques in a wonderfully fresh and modern way. For Moira, painting is a personal expression of careful observation of her subject, and her visceral and emotional response to what she sees and experiences. Her paintings convey her sensitivity to colour, and the relationships she sees between light and shade.
